What the scope can include

Select the work and handoff your project needs. The agreement identifies the included deliverables and responsibilities.

  • Office and workplace settings

Coordinate work areas, meeting rooms, customer access, restrooms, support rooms and technology interfaces. Identify the building-system and occupancy implications of the intended activities.

  • Retail and showrooms

Plan sales areas, displays, storage, deliveries, signage and customer circulation. Equipment, racking and changes in storage or merchandise can create additional technical requirements.

  • Financial and personal-service businesses

Define public/customer areas, secure functions, equipment and staff support for the specific operation. Distinguish ordinary office use from specialized services needing further professional or operating review.

Prepare for the assignment

You can start with incomplete records. Tell us what is available and what still needs to be established.

  • Information to bring

Business description, layout needs, equipment and storage information, lease/landlord criteria, prior approvals and existing building plans.

  • The agreed handoff

A business-specific layout and coordinated plan/approval package with retained-system and landlord interfaces identified.

Decisions, fees and timing

Scope and dependencies determine the proposal. No universal price or approval date is assumed.

  1. Confirm the basis and responsibility

Review the available records, intended endpoint and authority to use the information. Assign missing inputs, technical decisions and the parties who can authorize changes.

  2. Coordinate and review the work

Prepare the included documents from agreed inputs, resolve interfaces with responsible specialists and track revisions. Record external decisions and conditions separately from work prepared for review.

  3. Account for project-specific dependencies

Change of use, equipment loads, accessibility, landlord conditions, signage and revisions to the business layout.

  4. Deliver the defined milestone

Provide the controlling documents and remaining-action record. Identify what is accepted, what still requires a decision and what belongs to a separately contracted next stage.

Common questions

Is every service business treated as an office?

No. Describe the real activities, customer use, equipment and storage so the appropriate review basis can be established.

Can I keep the previous layout?

Potentially, after comparing it with the proposed use, records and relevant requirements. Retained conditions still need to be suitable for the new operation.
