Drawing and Permit Support for Architects
Keep your design direction connected to production and permitting. True North supports architectural practices with defined documentation assignments and controlled project communication.
For owners, project teams and delivery partners nationwide. The written scope identifies True North’s work, the responsible professionals and any separately contracted construction.
Request a project reviewWhat the scope can include
Select the work and handoff your project needs. The agreement identifies the included deliverables and responsibilities.
Field and drawing production
Coordinate authorized field documentation, existing backgrounds, drawings and consultant inputs under the practice’s standards. Establish required accuracy, file formats and the limits of field observations.
Document and submission control
Maintain indexes, background distribution, issue versions, review comments and approval records. Route design questions to the architect and distribute only authorized changes.
A defined support assignment
Agree client contact, review responsibilities and deliverable acceptance before work starts. The responsible architect retains the architectural decisions and professional obligations of the engagement.
Prepare for the assignment
You can start with incomplete records. Tell us what is available and what still needs to be established.
Information to bring
Authorized backgrounds, drafting standards, field scope, drawing index, responsible reviewer and client communication rules.
The agreed handoff
A reviewed production package and issue/action register using the practice’s agreed standards.
Decisions, fees and timing
Scope and dependencies determine the proposal. No universal price or approval date is assumed.
Confirm the basis and responsibility
Review the available records, intended endpoint and authority to use the information. Assign missing inputs, technical decisions and the parties who can authorize changes.
Coordinate and review the work
Prepare the included documents from agreed inputs, resolve interfaces with responsible specialists and track revisions. Record external decisions and conditions separately from work prepared for review.
Account for project-specific dependencies
Assignment size, source-data quality, file standards, review cycles and changes to the authorized technical direction.
Deliver the defined milestone
Provide the controlling documents and remaining-action record. Identify what is accepted, what still requires a decision and what belongs to a separately contracted next stage.

Common questions
Can you work under our drawing standards?
Yes. Provide the current standards, templates, file requirements and review process so the assignment can be scoped and checked against them.
How is overflow or repeat work scoped?
Agree the specific deliverables, source information, review authority, file formats and handoff milestone. New technical design, field investigation or additional submissions are identified as changes when outside that agreement.
